‍Arial, a wireless emergency notification system, alerts staff if any exterior door is opened unexpectedly. Because Arial doesn’t allow a remote reset of the alert, a staff member must go to the site in question, inspect the area and ensure a community member is not locked out or wandering outside.

A Wander Management System, an upgrade from Stanley Healthcare, is installed on the front door of the community. Because many residents, family members, staff and vendors must enter and exit the community at all times of day, the front door won’t sound an alarm every time it’s opened. Instead, the technology alerts staff only when an at-risk resident travels through the door.
